Buying Online Terms & Conditions
Buying online with the homestore you are agreeing that you have read, understood and accepted our terms & conditions
AVAILABILITY
- All products shown on our website are currently available in NZ.
Depending on the quantity you order and our best efforts to ensure
our stock inventory is accurate, sometimes availability maybe out of our
control. If a problem occurs with your order we will contact you
immediately once we are aware of the problem.
- Our promise to you is that if for any reason we cannot supply
your order within 5 working days, we will notify you within 48 hours of
the expected delivery date and confirm with you that you still wish to
continue with your purchase. If you do not, we will offer you a full
refund immediately.
OUT OF STOCK ITEMS
- If an item is out of stock, we will do our best to re-stock that item.
- If you request an out of stock item, we will re stock in
accordance with supplier availability. We are not responsible for any
delay taken to re-stock an item. If a supplier is out stock as well
please be patient while there is a small delay.
- Items from time to time become discontinued and unavailable. As
long as we are given enough notice by our suppliers we will remove that
item from our online store. Sometimes beyond our control suppliers may
forget or overlook the need to inform us of discontinued products
leaving us unaware when re-ordering out of stock product. If this
happens we will inform you immediately with either an option of a full
refund or a alternative to the requested product.
- Our stock online is updated regularly with our point of sale
systems used in store, making online stock very accurate. However
sometimes beyond our control, irregularities can happen during updates
making stock numbers on some items inaccurate. If you purchase an item
that shows as in stock on our website but you are informed later that
your purchased item is out of stock then you are entitled to a full
refund. We will contact you in regards whether you wish a refund or are
willing to wait a few extra days while we re-order your purchased item.
- Please be aware our online systems are not updated
Saturday or Sundays. This can lead to stock being bought online when at
the time of last update item was available online and in stock but due
to in-store sales on these days the last item may have been sold in
store without prior knowledge of a pending online order. We will
contact you immediately and arrange either a full refund or re-stock the
purchased item for you.
PRICES
- Prices
quoted are including GST. The price of the goods will be the current price on
the day of order. We may change our prices from time to time without
notice. Prices do not include any delivery fees. We
are entitled to charge a delivery fee, which will be calculated by
reference to the goods purchased and the post code of the address stated
in the order
- We reserve the right to put items on sale or promotion without notification.
- You are not entitled to money back or refunds if a item has been recently reduced or put on sale to what was paid originally.
- All products are sold at The Homestore's Recommended Retail Price and as such all products are sold brand new with full warranties.
PAYING BY DPS GATEWAY (ALL CARD TRANSACTIONS)
- All orders completed online before 10:30pm will be confirmed and
shipped the following day. Any completed online transactions after
10:30pm will be confirmed later.
- Paying by Amex can take up to 2-4 days for confirmation of payment.
- All orders are sent out once confirmation of payment by credit
card has been received from our bank which usually takes one day to
confirm.
PAYING BY INTERNET BANKING
- Any transactions made on weekends will not be confirmed until
Tuesday due to bank processing times. All orders will be shipped once
confirmation is received.
DELIVERY
Delivery times may vary depending on circumstances
- For North Island expect up to 1-5 Days (Not including weekends and public holidays)
- For South Island expect up to 2-5 Days (Not including weekends and public holidays)
GIFT VOUCHERS
- Gift vouchers are treated as cash and therefore are not stock items. Under no circumstances can you purchase a gift voucher from us at a discounted price.
DAMAGED ITEMS
- Occasionally, goods may be damaged during delivery. If goods
arrive damaged please contact us as soon as possible or if not then
within 48 hrs of receiving your order. We will advise you the returns
procedure and provide you with the address of where the item should be
returned. The goods are then inspected and a replacement order is sent
back to you. Replacement items are subject to availability, and if we do
not have that particular item stocked, we will keep you informed as to
when delivery will be made or we will refund you immediately should you
prefer.
- Damaged items can only be accepted for return and replacement
from 7 days of actual delivery. Goods must be returned in original
packaging and they must be in an unused condition with all components
and information included.
FAULTY ITEMS OR WARRANTY CLAIMS
- Warranty claims are handled directly by the New Zealand or
Australian supplier of the product. While The Homestore doesn’t process
warranty claims, we will do our utmost to ensure that any warranty
claims are handled in a satisfactory manner. In the first instance
please contact us and we will advise the best method to process your
claim.
- All warranty claims must be accompanied by the original
receipt. Failing that then a proof of purchase is required in the form
of a bank statement with our store name highlighted next to the
transaction.

YOUR RIGHTS WHEN YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND
We do not have to give you a refund if:
- You decide you don’t want the goods
- You find the same thing cheaper elsewhere
- You bought something for someone else that they don’t like or already have
- You bought something that doesn’t match what you already have.
If you are unsure about a product then please email us about a right
to exchange. Once agreed by us then please remember all goods
returned to us must be in original packaging with all accessories and in
a re-saleable condition. If you do not meet those requirements we will
not refund or exchange your product and we will send your purchase back
to you at your expense.
WEDDING LISTS AND GIFT REGISTRIES
These can be created either online or in store. Please contact us if you would like more information about making an appointment to come in store
By creating a wedding list online or in store with the homestore
and the homestore online shows you have read, understood and accepted
our terms & conditions.
We offer free delivery, free gift wrapping, 20% store or online
credit and up to another $200 if you meet the purchase requirements on
our Stellar and Judge promotion.
- We currently offer all our customers with Gift Registires a
Voucher worth 20% of all products purchased off the list (Excluding
items on special offer, Electricals &
Appliances). For example if a
total purchase of $4000 is spent on your list we will credit your
account with $800
back to spend in store or online.
- If a total of $500 from our Stellar or Judge range is purchased
from your list we will credit your account an extra $75 on top of your
20% Store Credit or Voucher (excluding any items discounted already
& appliances)
- If a total of $1000 from our Stellar or Judge range is purchased
from your list we will credit your account an extra $150 on top of your
20% Store Credit or Voucher (excluding any items discounted already
& appliances) This cannot be used with previous offer
- If a total of $2000 from our Stellar or Judge range is purchased
from your list we will credit your account an extra $200 on top of your
20% Store Credit or Voucher (excluding any items discounted already
& appliances) This cannot be used with previous offers
- Your list will close online and in store on your event date set
by couple. We are sorry but any items bought after event date will not
count towards your 20% Voucher.
- Gifts can either be couriered to your guest or held in store
depending on preference at checkout process. Gifts held in store
will be gift wrapped and stored
- Gifts couriered to guest will not
be gift wrapped unless otherwise stated by guest.
- We offer free
delivery on all orders.
- We will hold gifts for up to 3 weeks after wedding date, after
this we will offer to deliver these to bride and grooms nominated
address.
- We will exchange any gift bought from your list with a store
credit to spend in store. All items being returned must be in
original packaging and in a re-saleable condition.
- We reserve the right to change prices online and in store due to
price increases. When a list is created, prices may change over the
course of time since original setup of list.
- We also allow any special offers to be included on wedding
lists, this will fluctuate as online sales and special offers are for
limited periods. To avoid dissapointment for you and your guest please advise them before the promotion ends.
- It is recommended to sign up to our newsletters so that you can be informed if there are any upcoming sales or promotions.
